About
Music as translation of subtle weather.
Circe’s Shadow is a mythic electronic and ritual art-pop project. It reads the sky — planetary transits, archetypal pressure, the hidden emotional weather beneath a day — and translates it into cinematic song.
The premise is simple. The planets keep a rhythm. Astrology is one of the oldest languages for that rhythm — not as fortune-telling, but as a symbolic map of pressure, tension, and release. Circe’s Shadow treats a chart the way a composer treats a score: a set of forces to be voiced.
Planetary rhythm as composition
Each piece begins with a real moment in the sky. The dominant planetary chord becomes a key and a texture. The contradictory chord — the counter-current running beneath it — becomes the tension the song has to hold. Archetypes become characters; transits become movement. The result is a song as translation, not decoration.
Not prediction
This is not deterministic forecasting and it is not wellness astrology. It does not promise outcomes or tell you what will happen. It offers music that feels personally meaningful because it is built from the same symbolic weather you are already living inside.
Drawn from the books
The interpretive language comes out of Steve’s writing on astrology, archetypal psychology, and symbolic interpretation — reworked here into lyrics, style, and sound. Where the books explain the weather, Circe’s Shadow gives it a voice.
The sky has a rhythm. Circe’s Shadow gives it a voice.
